On July 4, Ulan-Ude will host the opening of the Mongolian Language and Culture Center at Banzarov Buryat State University. This will be the world’s first certified institution outside Mongolia where students can receive professional training and take the TOMFL (Test of Mongolian as a Foreign Language) international exam.

Banzarov Buryat State University is the only university in the world that has been continuously training specialists in Mongolian studies at all levels—from bachelor’s to postgraduate programs—for over 30 years. A key part of its educational strategy is the language immersion program in Mongolia, run in collaboration with Mongolian State University since 1994.

During the forum, Valery Falkov, Russia’s Minister of Science and Higher Education, and Mr. Purevsuren Naranbaatar, Mongolia’s Minister of Education, will sign a cooperation agreement on language policy. This document will further strengthen Russia-Mongolia ties in education, science, and culture.
